SESB Meter Reader will issue an electricity bill to the customer upon reading the meter. If the meter reading cannot be carried out because the house is vacant or the gate is locked, an estimated bill will be issued. Estimated meter readings for domestic customers will be issued for not more than three (3), consecutive months. After that, a notice will be issued to the customer informing him/her of the need for a special reading of the meter at an appropriate time. Special meter readings can be also be requested for in writing or over phone by the customer before he/she goes off for a long holiday or when shifting house.
